………Before………………………………….Day 48…………………………………Day 34

I was planning on re-applying the TCA this week, but late last week I went swimming in a pool and the chlorine made my tattoo sting. The stinging was surprisingly pretty bad, which made me really nervous; so, I decided to hold off a week. The directions says it should be 6-10 weeks before one should re-apply. I’m right within the time line to re-apply, and as of right now I’m planning on re-applying sometime next week.

After inspecting my tattoo this week I have noticed that my tattoo is becoming to appear blotchy. There are little sections in the black area that are fading. I haven’t been able to notice any change or fading to any of the colored areas yet. The scar-like area around the right hand side of the tattoo is less noticeable as the days pass. I think I’m going to pick up some scar ointment at the store for the next application.

See, you have the same brown ring around the edge of the tattoo that I have. that’s really unnerving, as I going to be on my 3rd treatment and that’s still there.

I’ve tried scar zone and mederma and so far neither creme has really faded it much. I just bought some vitamin E gel caps today and im going to start breaking those open and spreading the gel on my skin, see if that helps.

it does look like you have some spots coming out of the black though…. how is yours looking past perfect? any more progress? I hope the vitamin e will help you!

I thought of the ingenious idea – to use neosporin, because since the skin is healing, neosporin might also be helping it along. So I am also using neosporin right now. So it’s coming along. I’ve had a significant amount of ink removed, but still obviously need a lot more.

If you use neosporin once your scab forms, you won’t get a nice thick one and it won’t pull out a lot of ink. Nuviderm directions (should) state to stop using neosporin after 7 days until after the scab falls off, and you should be using neosporin on it in the mean time. The best way to apply it I found was to just lean over the sink and pour it on – if I used a qtip and rubbed, it pulled the scab off.

I did however use lotion around the edges of the scab so the skin didn’t tighten so much, but I got a lot of ink pulled out. My scab was actually blue.
