I was going to wait until the one week mark for an update, but I noticed pretty major swelling of my ankle. I cant say I even know why it’s swollen, since it’s not the actual tattoo itself, but below it. I am going to ice it, elevate it and take some Advil. The positives? The swollen area doesn’t hurt at all.
Whats more fun than a huge swollen ankle? Huge blisters!
The whole bottom half of my tattoo is one big blister, there is also little blisters along the outside of the tattoo. It doesn’t hurt too bad, but it can get pretty uncomfortable.
Good luck with all of this. I also am using nuviderm, so I am definately watching your results with interest.

I haven’t had any blistering yet, but I think I am experiencing it just slightly (teensy weensy ones) because I was starting my 2nd treatment and my skin wasn’t ready yet, so it’s reacting differently than the first time. Due to the intense pain I don’t even know if I left it on long enough this time to reach the ink, so this entire “session” might just be one big fluke setback for me. Time will tell.
I just started using nuviderm. I am so glad I found your blog. I’m on day 5…. I hope this works!! Looking forward to seeing more of your pics as the days move on….
